Amp Futures Review

Stock Trading Tips

Iíve struggled to find a good way to do this review section of the site. I think itís so valuable and appropriate, but there are situations where competition breeds deception. I wanted to open this up for other traders to send in reviews, but I feel we could have un-truthful reviews with the goal of sabotage. So Iíll just give my own experiences in the few brokers Iíve used. Weíll start with Amp Futures which is my current broker.

Iíve been with Amp for no more than 2 years at this point and Iíve really had no problems with respect to fills outside of the normal slippage zones. The main reason for me joining Amp Futures was that all of my analysis was being done on Ninja Trader, which is my desired platform for futures trading. Previously I was with Infinity Futures and Iíd have to switch back and forth to place trades. This really wasnít a big issue in the grand scheme of things, but once I made the switch I never really felt the need to go back. I liked the idea of adjusting my trades on my chart rather than the DOM. Amp With Ninja Trader Chart Trading

I still approach each trade in the same fashion in terms of entry placement using the DOM. At the very beginning I had a small issue which I canít remember exactly, but I called up and spoke with a gentlemen who took care of things very promptly. Iíve hardly had to speak to anyone as Iíve really never had any issues. Though I call the same person every time, I can honestly say I canít remember his name. Iím going to take that as a good sign. Amp Commisions

The commissions are tough at the beginning of a new account , but if you talk to them you could have yours reduced Iím sure. It is the same as any other futures broker with respect to number of trades. The more you trade the less commission, but it doesnít hurt to ask whomever youíre paired up with. I happen to be coming from another broker and knew from the outset I wasnít going to pay more than what I had prior. So I had a little bit of leverage there in my goals and requirements. They understood and here we are. Really no complaints, but Iíll update if I ever do.
